    1. What does it mean to step away?
      1. Taking a temporary break from parties, events, munches, cons, D/s dynamics, topping, bottoming, and/or other lifestyle-related activities.
      2. Stepping away is not to be confused with walking away. Walking away means that it isn’t a break, it is a decision to permanently leave.
    2. Why would someone need to step away?
      1. In general, it is best to follow the “Life before Lifestyle” rule but here are some specific reasons we can think of the people have, including ourselves, have given:
        1. – Marital/Relationship problems
        2. – Work
        3. – Stress
        4. – Frenzy
        5. – Issues within the community 
        6. – Drama
        7. – Abuse
        8. – Dealing with recent or previous trauma or abuse
        9. – Death of a loved one
        10. – Boredom
        11. – Accidental injury of a partner
        12. – Depression
        13. – Anxiety
        14. – Burnout
    3. How to help prevent the need to step away:

      2. – Take time to learn about frenzy
